Legal Disclaimer: Annual Ski & Snowboard Storage Service

This Legal Disclaimer governs the use of the Annual Ski & Snowboard Storage Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by SkiStorage Japan (hereinafter "the Company"). By utilizing the Service, the customer (hereinafter "User") is deemed to have agreed to the entirety of this Disclaimer.

 

Article 1 (Disclaimer Regarding Stored Equipment)

The Company shall not be liable for any damage, alteration, or loss incurred by the stored ski and snowboard equipment (hereinafter "Stored Items") due to the following reasons:

1. Normal Wear and Natural Deterioration

   • Natural deterioration, alteration, normal wear and tear, minor scratches, or changes in performance associated with long-term storage (e.g., wax coming off, binding loosening, deterioration of seals/stickers).

2. Damage Due to Force Majeure

   • Damage resulting from Acts of God such as earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, floods, lightning strikes, acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, enactment or abolition of laws, or any other unforeseeable event beyond the Company's control.

3. Inclusion of Valuables or Prohibited Items

   • Loss, theft, or damage to any cash, securities, other valuables, or hazardous materials that were improperly included within the Stored Items.

4. Undisclosed Pre-existing Conditions

   • Pre-existing damage, defects, or malfunctions in the Stored Items that were not declared by the User to the Company at the time of storage submission.

 

Article 2 (Disclaimer Regarding Delivery and Transportation)

 

1. Transportation of Stored Items (both for initial deposit and for return) is handled by third-party carriers such as Yamato Transport.

2. The Company shall not be liable for any delays, damage, loss, or quality changes during the transportation period handled by the third-party carrier. Any claims for such damage shall be settled directly between the User and the carrier, in accordance with the carrier's conditions of carriage.

 

Article 3 (Limitation of the Company's Liability)

 

1. The Company's liability for the Stored Items is strictly limited to the period during which the equipment is physically under the direct management of the Company's storage facility.

2. In the event that the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence results in the loss or damage of a Stored Item, the maximum amount of compensation payable by the Company shall be limited to the annual service fee for the item in question, and shall in no event exceed JPY 30,000 per item.

3. The Company shall not be liable for any consequential damage, incidental damage, or loss of profit arising from or related to the use or inability to use the Service.

 

Article 4 (Disclaimer Regarding Website Information)

 

1. The Company makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information published on this website (including service details, pricing, and related content).

2. The Company assumes no responsibility for any damage incurred by the User as a result of actions taken based on the information provided on this website or the inability to access the website.
